The life blood of South Australia, the mighty River Murray, is crossed at many points along its vast length by an assortment of bridges. At Lyrup, crossing is still effected by ferry. Not the most efficient method in today's hurried world, but one that allows the traveller a glimpse of the spectacular scenery and wildlife that may otherwise be missed.
